Changing Lives in Uganda
Ukids is about loving orphans and vulnerable children of Uganda. We work to provide a healthier, safer, and more wholesome environment, offering them hope and the opportunity to reach their full potential.
As a registered 501(c)3 non-profit founded in 2008, Ukids operates entirely through the dedication of volunteers and the generosity of donors. More than 90% of all contributions go directly toward programs that uplift children and families in Uganda. From organizing short-term projects to sending much-needed supplies, every effort is rooted in love and service.
Empowering Children, Families, and Communities
Ukids currently runs three key programs that serve children, families, and communities in Uganda. Each program is designed to provide practical help and long-term opportunities for vulnerable children and families.
From providing quality education to supporting vulnerable families and empowering youth through higher education, our ministry programs create lasting change. Each initiative reflects our commitment to offering hope, fostering self-reliance, and building brighter futures for the communities we serve.
Shining a Light on Uganda’s Future
Ukids partners with Kids of Light to provide education, food, and shelter to children in Uganda’s Alebtong District. What began with just 7 students now supports over 275 children, offering them a path toward a brighter future.
Through this program, children receive the tools they need to thrive academically, socially, and spiritually. Kids of Light ensures every child is supported with compassion and care, creating opportunities for them to grow into leaders who will transform their communities.

Building Resilient Families
During the pandemic, Empowering Vulnerable Women was born to help widows and the elderly become financially self-sufficient. Through micro-loans and mentoring, the program supports vulnerable families in building better lives.
By equipping families with resources and guidance, this program provides a pathway to stability and growth. The initiative focuses on breaking cycles of poverty and creating opportunities for a sustainable future.

Unlocking Potential Through Education
Ukids’ Higher Education Sponsorships help young adults in Uganda pursue university or trade school education, providing them with sponsors, life coaching, and the tools they need to succeed.
This program empowers young adults to break barriers, achieve their dreams, and become leaders in their communities. With tailored guidance and resources, students can thrive in their chosen fields.
